Getting Started Guide
We've been getting feedback from a lot of users saying the setup process is a little complicated. So, we called a big meeting
and discussed some possible solutions. We came away with several great ideas.

#1 We could make the process less complicated.

#2 We could document the process so users could follow some type of step-by-step procedure.

#3 We could blow off all the complainers and get back to our 72-hour dungeons and dragons marathon.
Clearly it was a tough call - as all are exceptional solutions to the problem. But, in the end we decided to
go with #2, because we all know who #2 works for. Austin Powers, anyone....yes, no? Anyway. Below you will find the
step by step instructions.

Step #1

You create a StickIt! account. You can create the account here.

Step #2
|
You will receive an email to verify you really are who you say you are. The email contains a link
to activate your account. Click the link and you are officially activated. You will will asked if you
want to keep the password we sent you in the email or change it to something a little more memorable.

Download StickIt! First off, you have to use Internet Explorer or Mozilla to download StickIt! All other browsers
are not supported. The download is somewhat long if you do not have version 3.5 of Microsoft's .Net Framework. Just
be patient. Think of how patient you would be if you were waiting at an ATM machine as it was cashing out one million $1
bills? This is almost like that. You can download StickIt! here.

Step #4

When you press the download button you will be asked to Run or Save. Please press the Run button. In fact, just
click the Run button every time you see it until you see a StickIt! icon on your desktop. If you have any problems

Log into StickIt! After you have downloaded the application, you will see an icon called StickIt! on your desktop (it's
green). There will also be an entry under Start>Programs>Opus Magnum Software. You will need to enter the email address
you used to create your account as well as your password.

Initially, you are not a member of any group, so you are very limited in what you can do. You can create sticky notes
for your own desktop, but that is pretty much it. To create a group, select the menu button and choose Create Group.
Enter a group name and password and press Create. Now that you own a group, you can invite friends to join your group.

To invite people to join your group, you will again need to click the menu option, followed by Invite Friends.
Enter any number of email addresses and press the Invite button.

If your friend does not have an account, StickIt! will email your friends asking them
to join your group. They have to click the link in the email to join your group (this is important). When they click
the link, they will be directed to our website where they can enter a display name and create an account. When they create
an account, they will join your group as well.

|
If your friend already has an account, then StickIt! will display an Invite message on their StickIt! control
panel. To join your group, they simply click on this invitation message and they are in like Flynn. By the way,
does anyone know what that expression means?

Now that you have a group and a group member, you can StickIt! to 'em as much as you want.

A couple of other notes that might be helpful to you:

When you send a sticky note to a friend, it will only show up on their desktop if they are logged in. You
can tell if someone is logged in if their display name is green. If they are not logged, your sticky note
will wait until their next log in and then immediately pounce on their desktop.

To send a sticky note to a friend you press the button that sits in the silver bowl next to your friends name.

When your friend replies to your note, you will see a flashing image next to your friend's display name. You can double
click your friend's name to view a history of the notes you've sent as well as their responses.

You can send a sticky note to every member in your group by selecting the menu button, followed by Send Group

To delete members of your group, you select their name and hit the delete key on your keyboard.

You can shrink sticky notes by double-clicking the note. To restore it to it's original size, you simply
double-click it again.

You can drag sticky notes around the desktop using your mouse.
